Work Environment
- Warehouse sanitation workers operate in industrial or distribution center settings, which may include refrigerated or freezer areas
- The role requires adherence to company safety policies and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and efficient workplace
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, aisles, racks, guard rails, walls, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and conference rooms using hand brooms, sweepers, scrubbers, and other cleaning equipment
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, power washers, and battery-operated machinery
- Follow established sanitation schedules, checklists, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with hygiene and workplace safety standards
- Report hazards, maintenance issues, accidents, or violations of company policy to supervisors immediately
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in janitorial, sanitation, or warehouse cleaning is preferred, though training may be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and safe handling procedures
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE), including water boots
